About the Founders
Meet the Founders
Hayk Oltaci and Mariam Nalbandyan are the heart of Woolway Studios. With decades of experience in weaving, natural dyeing, and rug restoration, they are dedicated to preserving tradition through hands-on craftsmanship.
Hayk brings a lifetime of knowledge shaped by his journey from Istanbul to New York to Armenia. Mariam, with her deep expertise in natural dyes and textile arts, adds creativity and soul to every piece. Together, they lead Woolway as a space where heritage is honored, stories are shared, and beauty is made by hand.
