Day 1: The Mordanting Process
- Scouring: Cleaning wool to ensure even dye absorption
- Mordanting: Preparing wool with alum and other mordants
- Soaking: Allowing the wool to fully absorb the mordant for uniform color uptake
- Drying: Proper techniques to prevent felting and maintain fiber integrity
Day 2: Dyeing with Natural Colors
- Preparing dye baths using plants and minerals
- Immersion dyeing techniques for even color distribution
- Fixing: Ensuring long-lasting color retention
- Drying: Best practices for preserving the vibrancy of dyed wool
