At the age of sixteen… he received a damaged Ladik rug… from his great-grandfather.
A simple gift… that sparked a lifelong devotion… to the art of rug restoration.
That moment… led him into the heart… of weaving traditions.
He spent a decade in Strasbourg, France…
Then moved to New York…
where he built a reputation among collectors… museums… and designers…
for restoring rugs with museum-level care.

In recent years… Hayko repatriated to Armenia…
where he founded Woolway Studios —
